White Bean Hummus

Spoonfuls or veggie-dips full of white bean hummus are the easiest way to pack more protein into your day.

Ingredients

Note – You can buy a pre-made white bean hummus dip at the store, but be sure to check ingredients and make sure there are not any fillers. 

  • 2 (15 oz) cans white beans (rinsed)
  • 2 tsp Bragg’s Liquid Amino Acids or Tamari
  • 2 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
  • 1/3 c fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ c water, more or less depending on thickness
  • Pinch of ground cumin
  • Pinch of ground paprika
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place half the beans and all the Bragg’s and water in your Vitamix.  Pulse several times.  Stir down the sides and continue to pulse.
  2. When the mix is nearly pureed and creamy, add the remaining beans, juice, garlic and spices.
  3. Stop to taste and season as necessary.
  4. Transfer into an airtight container and chill.
