Warming chai spices paired with Açaí create a delicious first day of fall recipe! It’s perfect for those looking to add more spice to their life without completely abandoning summer. And, top your smoothie with a bit of coconut whipped cream and cinnamon for the ultimate fall treat.
As the leaves start to turn and the air gets crisp, it’s time to start preparing for fall! And, what better way to do that than with a delicious Chai Spiced Açaí Smoothie? With just a few simple ingredients, you’ll have a smoothie that tastes like fall in a cup. Warming spices like cinnamon and cloves, combined with Açaí makes a delicious, refreshing autumn drink.
Plus, not only does this smoothie taste absolutely delicious, but it’s also good for you! Containing antioxidants and healthy omega fats 3,6, and 9 from the Açaí, this smoothie is a great way to start your day or to beat that afternoon slump.
To make this chai spiced smoothie you’ll need the following ingredients:
Dairy-Free Milk – The base of this smoothie is a combination of dairy-free milk and chai concentrate. Any plant-based milk will do, but for the creamiest smoothie I recommend canned coconut or oat milk. Want a thinner smoothie? Simply add more dairy-free milk.
Chai Concentrate – Chai concentrate is what we are using to achieve a delicious chai flavor without watering down our smoothie. You can buy chai concentrate at the store or you can make your own.
To make your own, combine 3 black chai tea bags with 1 cup water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat and reduce and let simmer for 15 minutes. Mix in 2-3 tsp sweetener and keep stored in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Frozen Banana – To thicken this smoothie, we are using a frozen banana. Using frozen bananas helps get a thick, creamy smoothie. Plus it adds a bit of natural sweetness! Don’t have a frozen banana? You can use a regular banana and just reduce the liquid slightly.
Dairy-Free Yogurt – To make this smoothie extra creamy, dairy-free vanilla yogurt is added. You can choose a sweetened or unsweetened version based on your preference. For a sweeter smoothie, make sure to choose a sweetened vanilla option.
SAMBAZON Açaí Superfruit Pack - This smoothie recipe uses one original Açaí superfruit packet to make the Açaí flavor pop and to add antioxidants! Want an even stronger Açaí flavor? Add an additional packet.
Cinnamon & Cloves – A pinch of cinnamon and cloves add the perfect warming spices to this smoothie bowl. You can also garnish with an extra pinch!
