We're proud to share the third edition of our Impact Report, which showcases our commitment to a triple bottom line by going beyond the economic bottom line to measure our social bottom line based on every stakeholder’s well-being, and our environmental bottom line of their impact on Mother Nature.

A Note from Ryan

"Every time someone enjoys the delicious Powers of SAMBAZON Açaí, a positive socio-economic chain reaction is set in motion from the Amazon to the world. This impact report is a description of these positive reactions."

- SAMBAZON Co-Founder & CEO Ryan Black

  • SAFEGUARDING THE BIODIVERSITY OF THE AMAZON

It's right there in our name: SAMBAZON is an acronym for the SustainAble Management of the Brazilian AmaZON. We keep that in mind with every decision we make.

  • A PIONEER FOR TRACEABILITY

From the palm of the tree to the palm of your hand. Every time you purchase SAMBAZON it helps sustain the people, plants, and animals that call the Amazon Rainforest home.

  • STRIVING TO REDUCE OUR FOOTPRINT

We consider each piece of the business to create a more circular economy when it comes to our waste, packaging & plastic use.

Safeguarding the Biodiversity of the Amazon

SAMBAZON'S FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT MISSION

Through our Fair Trade Certification, we support the people and biodiversity of the Amazon Rainforest. Funds have supported a wide variety of projects including forest conservation research and education, Construction Projects, and Quality of Life Improvements for our harvesting communities.

A Pioneer for Traceability

PURPLE POWER IN THE PALM OF YOUR HAND

By creating our own Açaí supply chain, we oversee every step of the journey: from the moment our Fair Trade Açaí is hand harvested and transported by riverboats, to its inspection and environmentally responsible processing in our state-of-the-art factory.

Striving to Reduce our Footprint

MEASURING OUR IMPACT ON THE PLANET

Each year SAMBAZON strives to improve and expand the data we are using for our GHG reports. This year SAMBAZON did a deeper dive on the Açaí fruit—to calculate emissions from the forest to our factories.
